This is a branding challenge I created a solution for. I was asked to create from the bottom up a hot sauce. Each step of creating a theme, mission statement, story, label and bottle design choice. I liked the idea of devil’s tears being hot drops and I think this poster captures the feeling I was going for.
A good strong logo I created for a fan blog I do about Big Brother the TV Series. It’s a site created to the going’s on in the kitchen in the BB house and deals with the creative things the house guests create and what I can create for them (if only they could see it!) using the America’s choice vote food products. Fun!
I really don’t like pickles, and people do find that hard to believe. I tell the story about how in my younger days, when I used to follow the Monkees around the country between 1985-1995 and I was given the nick name on a subway train after a Peter Tork show t the Vic Theater. Peter had sung his milkshake song and when he sang the line “she sank her teeth into my pickle”, I screamed when everyone else was quiet, and the whole theatre turned to look at me funny, and so the teasing began and the legend lives on. I would have much rather had a name like “penny lane” or aurora, but when life gives you pickles… make pickle-aid.
This is a class assignment to create a perspective cityscape drawn with markers on white board. Different shades of grey were used to create a night scene, and then covered with a self-created logo for Turner Classic Movies Late Night Noir. This assignment was particularly challenging because it was a requirement to include street level and rooftop in addition, it is all hand drawn with no ruler.
